SPECIALISTS IN SUBGRADE ASSESSMENT FOR STABILITY
SEAMLESS COORDINATION WITH CONCRETE CREWS
OVER 10 YEARS OF GROUNDWORK EXPERTISE
WHY FOUNDATION PREPARATION MATTERS
By diligently managing the depth, compaction, and reinforcement, Eris Generation Ltd provides a foundation that is structurally sound and prepared for the next stage of vertical construction. This requires seamless coordination with other trades. We take responsibility for coordinating with concrete crews, ensuring the site is prepped, and temporary works and access are established for a smooth pour. This involves final checks on formwork, rebar clearance, and accessibility, ensuring the concrete placement is efficient and meets all quality standards. Our expertise in formwork installation and reinforcement placement ensures that your foundation is not only strong but also built to withstand environmental and structural stresses. With our commitment to precision and compliance, your project is set up for success from the ground up, guaranteeing the structural integrity of your project.
FOUNDATION PREPARATION FOR LASTING STABILITY
After site clearing, excavation, and earthmoving are complete, foundation preparation is the stage where the raw earth is engineered to receive and support the weight of the structure. We specialise in preparing stable, code-compliant foundations that meet all local building regulations and structural engineering specifications. Eris Generation Ltd's work focuses on meticulous detail to guarantee the strength and longevity of your build. Key steps in our foundation preparation process include:
-
Trenching for Footings: Based on engineering drawings, we perform the final trenching for footings. These trenches are dug to the precise width and depth required to distribute the structure's load effectively. This step involves checking the bottom of the trench (the subgrade) for stability, linking directly with trenching and utilities.
-
Installing Formwork: We accurately install the formwork (the moulds) that will hold the liquid concrete in place until it cures. Proper formwork ensures the footings and/or walls are straight, plumb, and have the exact dimensions specified by the design.
-
Laying Rebar (Reinforcement Steel): We meticulously place and tie the rebar according to the structural plans. Rebar is essential because it gives concrete its tensile strength, allowing the foundation to withstand stresses and strains from settling, temperature changes, and external forces.

PRECISION AND CARE IN EVERY STEP
Regardless of the soil type present on your site, we take every measure to guarantee the long-term performance of the foundation. We conduct a final assessment of the subgrade. Whether you are building on clay, sand, or mixed fill, we ensure proper depth is achieved to get below the frost line (where applicable) and reach stable load-bearing soil. For foundations utilising slab-on-grade or requiring structural fill, we confirm that all soil beneath the foundation area has achieved the required compaction density. This is vital for preventing future movement or instability in the structure.
